No racing again this weekend as the track is shut down to give people the opportunity to head on up to Skagit Speedway in Alger, Wa to see the Dirt Cup. The Dirt Cup brings together the best sprint car racers on the West coast for three days of action.
Next up for the Super Late Models at Evergreen Speedway is round two of the Big West series on June 25th. Then, on July 10th, we race the NASCAR Super Late Model GM Crate Nationals 100 on the 5/8’s mile track in support of the NASCAR K&N West series as they return to Evergreen Speedway for a 200 lap race, also on the 5/8’s.
You can also catch us at the Coors Light Fan Fest in Monroe on July 8th as the NASCAR guys roll into town. The fan fest will include a car show, parade of haulers, autograph session and live bands. And it’s free.
Coming off of our best finish of the year, we are excited to get back to racing after this nearly three-week break. We feel that we have a great car that runs well during long races. In the past, we would hit on a decent set-up; weather it was luck, or the planet aligned, and we would run well. But rarely did we race with the leaders or compete for wins. But now we can run with the best of them and look forward to doing so the rest of the year.
